We always try to save the tooth. Sometimes, though, it is so decayed, broken below the gum or infected that removing it is the best option, especially when the pain is severe and can't wait.
Before the procedure we take a dental X-ray on site to see the shape of the roots. The extraction is done under local anaesthesia, and afterwards you get clear instructions for the first few days.
When to see us
- A badly decayed tooth or one broken below the gum
- A severely infected tooth that can't be treated
- A very loose tooth after injury or gum disease
- A painful, partly erupted wisdom tooth
